Memory and T-Shirt Quilt
MEMORY QUILTS
Memory quilts is an amazing way to wrap yourself up with a custom quilt made from the clothing of someone who was special to a loved one or a friend.
We can use almost any piece of clothing. Just keep in mind that if that item of clothing can't be laundered (i.e. silk or paper) then it might not be the best item to include in this quilt. We WANT this quilt to be used, and to be used for years to come. We recommend that memory quilts be throw-sized. These quilts can be used in a chair, on the couch or just wrapped around when a private moment is needed. When you bring your items in, we will go through the clothing and let you know if it can be used successfully or if we should not use it.
While the best clothing items for quilting are woven cottons and cotton blends, we can use most any item. Knit fabrics can be used because we do use a 100% woven cotton stabilizer. The stabilizer is necessary to prevent distortion when quilting and makes that quilt last a lifetime through many launderings.
With memory quilts, we design a traditional style quilt that uses the clothing you provide using as much of the material that we can use. A Traditional Quilt takes a consistent size square and is surrounded by sashing and cornerstones. Your choice of sashing and border color fabrics. We can use a few or as many as you like items of clothing.

T-SHIRT QUILTS
Frameless/No-Sashing T-Shirt Quilt - Base price is based on $16 per block. T-Shirts are sewn together with no sashing or cornerstones, the shirts directly to each other. This option is great if you have a lot of t-shirts that might be larger than our standard 14" block. We do stabilize your shirts and use the highest quality materials and will last a lifetime. (Example: 9 T-Shirts x $16.00 = $144)
Basic T-Shirt Quilt - The base price per T-Shirt block is $18. Only has one 6” border with sashing and cornerstones. Like all of our T-Shirt quilts, the price is all-inclusive.
Premium T-Shirt Quilt - The base price per T-Shirt block is $20. Traditional t-shirt quilts include sashing to frame the t-shirt, cornerstones and accent border. Fabric colors and prints will be discussed before work begins on your t-shirt quilt. We offer a wide 6” outer border. The outer border gives a finished look to the quilt.

Our pricing is all inclusive, which includes a great selection of fabrics for your one-of-a-kind quilt, all materials, custom professional machine quilting, tons of extra features to commemorate your t-shirt quilt.
Each square finishes at approximately 14". You can specify a different size to make the quilt fit your specifications. Smaller sized t-shirts will result in smaller sized squares. By the same token, larger squares will result in a larger quilt. If you have an over-abundance of t-shirts, maybe go to a smaller sized block, and small sized sashing. If you have several large image shirts, make a note on the order form, and we will do our best to adjust for those sizes when making your quilt.
Extensive Fabric Prep
This usually applies to clothing that you bring to use that takes a lot of time to prep before we can use it. Clothing items like school uniforms and ties require time to prepare to be able to use in a quilt. While we don't mind offering this service, it is very time consuming and in order to keep our quilt prices competitive we have to charge extra for this. Charges are based on $20 hour.
If you want to guarantee delivery in less than 4 weeks, please add a $50 rush fee per quilt;
Rush Orders are not available from October 15th to December 31st, due to the holiday season which is the busiest time for any longarm quilter.
***Sashing is a colored strip of 100% cotton fabric between each square. It typically coordinates with the backing color you select.
Cornerstones are squares of fabric that are pieced within the sashing and fit in at the corners of the blocks. Cornerstones can be the same color as the sashing, just be sure to note that on the order form.
